WOMEN'S WAY Hires a Director of Education and Advocacy InitiativesRebecca Foley recently joined WOMEN’S WAY as Director of Education and Advocacy Initiatives. Rebecca has public policy, advocacy, and government relations experience. She relocated to Philadelphia from Massachusetts where she was the Education Policy Manager at Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts. At Planned Parenthood, Rebecca developed a statewide coalition of over 120 organizations working to make comprehensive health and sex education a requirement in all Massachusetts public schools. Prior to her time at Planned Parenthood, she worked as a policy analyst for the Joint Committee on Public Health in the Massachusetts State Legislature.
As Director of Education and Advocacy Initiatives, Rebecca will work closely with Member Agencies and Community Women’s Fund grantees to increase public awareness and generate support for a wide range of policy issues impacting women, girls and families. This newly established position will allow WOMEN’S WAY to increase visibility, extend education and outreach efforts, strengthen its base of support and truly be A Powerful Voice for Women.
