- Community Womens Education Project (CWEP)
The early learning center at CWEP, CWEPs Kids, is now accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children. This means that CWEPs Kids has been designated a high-quality early childhood program, which "provide a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children. CWEP, a WOMENS WAY member agency, is proud to be accredited by NAEYC and recognized for their continuing commitment to reaching the highest professional standards. According to Alexis Brown, Executive Director of CWEP, "NAEYC Accreditation lets families in the community know that children in our program are getting the best care and early learning experiences." CWEP is committed to supporting economically challenged families by providing a continuum of educational and support services. CWEPs recent efforts to expand health literacy and civic responsibilities activities is reflective of the multiple barriers the participants endure.
