WHAT DO AREA WOMEN AND FAMILIES NEED?

WOMENS WAY’s 2nd Annual Women’s Issues Summit Brings Together 60-Non Profit Leaders to Identify the Underserved

WHAT/WHO:

Roughly 60 leaders from a wide range of greater Philadelphia region non-profits serving women, girls and families convene for the WOMENS WAY (WW) 2nd Annual Women’s Issues Summit – to identify vital community needs not being filled due to lack of resources and/or funding. Findings from the event will help WW pinpoint programs to support through its Community Women’s Fund – designed to address these critical, unmet and underfunded issues.

Last year’s summit identified diverse, underserved needs that translated into grants for affordable housing for low-income women and children, violence prevention programs for potential young women offenders, and bilingual self-defense training for teen girls, among other programs.
