WOMENS WAY, at 27 the nations oldest and largest funding federation benefiting females, had an inaugural gala at the Waterworks Saturday.
There were 150 guests at the event, chaired by Ernesta Ballard, and Joanne and Graham Berwind, which raised more than $80,000.
Jessica Berwind (Graham's daughter) was the highest bidder in a live auction for the original Sex and the City script, called "The Ick Factor" and signed by authors Elisa Zuritsky and Julie Rottenberg. Patty Miller and William Schultz made the high bid for a red Vespa.
Among the guests were Arlene and Charles Mobley, Shelby and Alan Keiser, Celeste Heuberger and Paul Demianczyk, Linda Walters, Marthe and Jacques Croisetiere, Karen and Handsel Minyard, Jeanne and Bruce McKenney, Elizabeth Elmore and Mike Grimes, Scott Tattar, Christine Lademan and Steve Perry, Audrey and Ed Ziegler, and Valerie Gay, who brought along her daughter Nasya and her friend Tracey Jastrzab.
