Title: **Young Women's Initiative Outreach and Networking Committee**
Description: The Young Women's Initiative (YWI) Outreach & Networking Sub-Committee was established to provide YWI volunteers with an opportunity to develop creative outreach events for YWI and WOMEN’S WAY. Sub-Committee members are responsible for planning and executing events with a goal of cultivating new YWI members and providing a platform for women to make professional connections while learning about the work of WOMEN’S WAY. The committee is comprised of outgoing, hardworking young women who are eager to raise the profile of WOMEN’S WAY’s work in the community while developing professional relationships. Examples of events include happy hours, cocktail party fundraisers and networking and orientation breakfasts.

Title: **Young Women's Initiative Special Project Committee**
Description: The Young Women's Initiative (YWI) Special Projects Sub-Committee was established to provide opportunities for YWI members to have a greater impact on the mission and work of WOMEN'S WAY. Sub-Committee members will plan and execute events that further WOMEN’S WAY’s mission to raise money and public awareness to fight for and achieve women’s safety, self-sufficiency and reproductive freedom through women-centered funding, advocacy and education. The Sub-Committee will also work to support young women in their own careers by organizing professional development opportunities. Sub-Committee members are thoughtful, hardworking young women committed to advancing WOMEN’S WAY's mission and increasing opportunities for involvement for YWI members. Examples of events include volunteer service days, book clubs and professional development panels and workshops.

Title: Corporate Outreach Committee
Description: The goal of this committee is to assist WOMEN’S WAY to build its network of corporate prospects and sponsors. This committee will meet six times a year, or as frequently as needed, to identify and qualify prospects, explore cultivation and solicitation strategies, and ensure proper stewardship of corporate sponsors. Corporate Outreach Committee members need not be WOMEN’S WAY Board members. Members should be willing to connect WOMEN'S WAY with individuals involved with potential corporate sponsors. While solicitation work is appreciated and preferred, it is not required for membership on this committee.

Title: Education & Advocacy Advisory Committee
Description: The goal of this committee is to assist WOMEN’S WAY to continue to develop an effective, mission-driven education and advocacy program. This committee will meet approximately six times each year, or as frequently as needed, to make recommendations to staff and WOMEN’S WAY’s Board on a focused education and advocacy agenda, provide guidance on strategies and tactics, and help WOMEN’S WAY build strong relationships with key decision-makers. The work of this committee will enable WOMEN’S WAY to achieve incremental policy change on key issues facing women, girls and families. Education and Advocacy Advisory Committee members need not be WOMEN’S WAY Board members. Space is limited. Title: Ernesta Drinker Ballard Book Prize Committee
Description: Each year WOMEN’S WAY honors a female author with the Ernesta D. Ballard Book Prize for her work in advancing the dialogue about women’s rights. Established in 2007, this prize honors the legacy of Ernesta Drinker Ballard, a WOMEN’S WAY founder, first president of its Board of Directors and extraordinary champion for women and girls. The award is given to a selected recipient during a spring event.

WOMEN'S WAY is looking for committee members to participate in the selection of the 2011 award winner. The committee will form in the summer of 2010. If you are interested in participating or would like to find out more information please use the contact information below.

Title: Lucretia Mott Society Committee
Description: The Lucretia Mott Committee consists of WOMEN'S WAY volunteer fundraisers who reach out to individuals throughout the course of the year to encourage support for the organization with personal gifts of a significant nature. Volunteers are educated as to what is taking place with the organization in terms of direction, upcoming events, etc. so as to have meaningful conversations with donors and prospective donors both over the phone and in one-on-one meetings.

Title: Powerful Voice Awards Committee
Description: The Powerful Voice Awards is WOMEN'S WAY's largest annual fundraising event. Committee members will select the Unsung Heroine Award winners and have a hands-on role in outreach and attendance-building. The committee is comprised of outgoing, hardworking women who are eager to act as ambassadors for WOMEN’S WAY and make a substantive difference in the community, while networking and skill-building with peers.
