Fighting for Meaningful Change
WOMEN’S WAY pursues social and policy change to promote equity, safety, and justice for women, girls, and families in the Greater Philadelphia region. We do this by directly engaging in the public policy process, undertaking campaigns to promote changes in social or institutional practices, and by helping community members to become advocates for social change.
We advocate for:
- Comprehensive women’s health care and reproductive rights, by serving as the convener and chair of Raising Women’s Voices of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
- Ending human trafficking in Pennsylvania, by chairing the Advocacy Committee of the Philadelphia Anti-Trafficking Coalitionand serving as a lead member of the Pennsylvania Anti-Human Trafficking Advocacy Work Group.
- Ensuring that low-income families are always better off when parents go to work, work more hours or earn promotions & raises through our work co-leading the Making Work Pay PA Coalition.
- The Pennsylvania Agenda for Women’s Health, a package of pro-choice, pro-woman state legislation and an initiative of the Pennsylvanians for Choice coalition, of which we are an active member.
